AudioSource AS5C are value-priced ceiling speakers with a 5.25" polypropylene mid-range driver and a 0.75" silk dome tweeter. They are the entry-level speakers in the ASxC line priced at $50 / pair, with step-up models AS6C and AS8C featuring 6.5" and 8" mid-range drivers, and priced at around $65 / pair and $85 / pair respectively.

The frequency response of the AS5C is limited by it's small speaker size and bottoms out at 70 Hz @ 3 dB roll-off. They are suitable for a receiver or amplifier with 25 - 100 Watts per channel of output power. AudioSource is a speaker manufacturer specialized in home automation out of Portland, Oregon whose parent company Rodin Audio also owns Phoenix Gold and Carver USA.
