As an upgrade, the XF305 adds along support for multi-camera or 3D setups via HD-SDI/SD-SDI, SMPTE Time Code, and Genlock inputs & outputs. Like its predecessor, the XF305 wraps its recorded content in the Material Exchange Format (MXF), which is a standardized container that ensures optimal compatibility with non-linear editing (NLE) systems. Additional features include an 18x HD L-series lens, three 1080p CMOS image sensors, hot-swappable dual card slots, a 4” LCD display, a ½” electronic viewfinder, dual XLR audio inputs, and a stereo microphone.
