DirecTV Sat-Go

The DirecTV Sat-Go is a complete portable satellite TV system; it includes a 17" LCD monitor, receiver, and satellite dish. All of the components are housed in a futuristic-looking briefcase that unfolds to reveal the dish and monitor components.

To receive satellite signals you must point the dish to the satellite using the built-in compass and azimuth readings. The LCD monitor is tethered to the dish with a coaxial cable and can be positioned either separately or together with the dish. The angle of LCD can also be set to your liking.

You can receive all of your DirecTV programming by connecting a SIMM card connected to your DirecTV account. The unit can be powered by either AC or DC power and includes a rechargeable battery that you can expect to deliver only about 1 hour of TV time. The Sat-Go is available from DirecTV.com and units can be purchased over the phone for $1499. The website claims that quantities are limited.
