Gitzo GT2540F

The Gitzo GT2540F is a high-end tripod, part of Gitzo's safari series. The stainless steel spike feet of this tripod are designed for use in soft outdoor environments. These feet help to keep the tripod firmly placed in the ground.

The ground level set feature allows you to remove the centre column to save weight and get the camera closer to the ground. Another feature geared toward the safari setting is the Ocean Lock feature, which consists of two seals that minimize the amount of water and debris that may enter this tripod's tubes and locking mechanisms. Though Ocean-Lock is not 100% waterproof, it does dramatically enhance the capacity of this tripod to withstand extreme environments. The durable carbon fiber 6x tubing of the Gitzo GT2540F, which absorbs vibration, contributes to this tripod's ability to handle extremes.
