The water-resistant design of this GPS unit helps to make it durable. This model differs from the lower cost Tour model in that it has a 40,000 course capacity (as opposed to the Tour's 20,000 course capacity), pre-loaded courses from around the world, high-resolution full function touchscreen (as opposed to an LED backlit display), four player scoretracking module (as opposed to a single player scoretracking module), full statistical analysis module, zoom in/zoom out functions (to get a better overall idea of the course), ability to measure to and from any point on the hole, shock-resistant case design (instead of just water-resistant), fifty channel satellite reception (the Tour only has twelve channels), distance measuring module, pin placement/movement functionalilty, and swivel holster (instead of the Tour's simple plastic holster). The GolfBuddy World Platinum golf GPS unit is multilingual.
