Insignia Infocast

The Insignia Infocast is an Internet Media Display/Widget station meant for those who want simple internet connectivity anywhere in the home without having to buy a whole new computer. It features an 8-inch touchscreen display with an 800X600 resolution, a wide variety of web-based widgets, 802.11b/g WiFi, an integrated microphone, SRS audio and 2GB of internal storage.

Additionally, the Infocast's compatibility with a variety of media cards (SD, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, CompactFlash I/II, xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO Duo) allow it to interface with a variety of media directly.

The Infocast's 802.11b/g inbuilt WiFi allows for simple, wireless internet connectivity anywhere in the home while its 8-inch touchscreen allows for intuitive and simple interfacing. It boasts access to over 1,500 apps by Chumby Industries as well as access to popular online content such as Pandora Internet Radio, SHOUTcast and Photobucket. Meanwhile, the Infocast's varied media card reader allows for simple music and video playback as well as image browsing.
