Product Shot 2 The skin is made from 3M premium grade vinyl that also protects the finish of your iPod while significantly boosting it's visual appeal. It also makes use of a 3M adhesive that prevents bubbles from forming during the application of a GelaSkin.

There are almost 100 different skins to choose from many different artists. GelaSkins are designed to fit on just about every iPod ever made including the new iPod Video and Nano. The skins are very reasonable price at around $15, and the manufactuer has a deal that for every three skins, you will get one free.

GelaSkins are designed for a single application. However, users have claimed that GelaSkins can be used more than once on more than one iPod, and the 3M reusable adhesive guarantees that the skin is easy to remove without any visible marks.

Visit GelaSkins.com for more information or to buy your own GelaSkin.

GT-D: #ipod_gelaskins Look really cool, but in confused about the up and coming artist thing. I saw a Van Gogh and some classic Japanese paintings in there, like the Tsunami and Mt Fuji... how is that supporting up and coming artists? I suppose I should visit the site and take a closer look, but my first reaction upon reading and seeing those images is that if some young artist is getting paid to slap a few classic pieces of artwork on a skin and call it their own then thats pretty lame. (and I hope not true)

Edit: yeah I took a look and it is properly credited. So all in all pretty snazzy if I do say so myself. Now if only I had an iPod... Jun 19, 07

Amanie: #ipod_gelaskins GT-D, I see your point, I think it's a mix of classic and modern pieces. The original artists, such as Edvard Munch for 'The Scream', are credited with the design, while the up-and-coming artists get credited for their designs see this list [link] Jun 18, 07

Omar: #ipod_gelaskins Ya, THESE ones are pretty cool, I don't deny that. I'm talking more about the protective skins for the sake of protection that don't even look that good, and sometimes look downright BAD. Apple should just make it so the darn iPods don't scratch so damn easily! I mean, what's going to happen with the iPhone? You get a scratch on that and the whole thing becomes a $599 piece of junk not even worth throwing at pictures of your most hated enemies. Mar 8, 07

Erik: #ipod_gelaskins @Omar. You can't deny how cool these graphics are. They're done by small time artists, and I think they make the iPod way freakin better looking. I'm getting bored of Apple's White Ubiquity. Mar 8, 07

Amanie: #ipod_gelaskins The protection factor is nice though. iPods scratch so easily, it's nice to have a way to protect them without carrying around double the weight. Mar 8, 07

Omar: #ipod_gelaskins I don't get the whole dealy with iPod skins. I mean I get them from an "express yourself!" standpoint. But one of the main appeals of the iPod is it's elegant and minimalist design that is beautiful to look at on its own. More often than not, these skins just encumber the iPod's design and can even make it harder to use! I hate iPod skins. Mar 8, 07

It fits the 4th Gen iPod according to their FAQ as well as the new iPod video. They have a section to help you choose which iPod you've got.

ruthers: #ipod_gelaskins This looks really good! I have an older version of the iPod though. Will that work? Or do I need to have a newer iPod to fit the skins? Mar 8, 07

Erik: #ipod_gelaskins Take a look at the GelaSkins site, they have some pretty slick designs. I think this would be great on your iPod, or even as a gift idea. It's a cheap (and harmless) way to express your individuality and taste. Mar 8, 07
