JBL Control NOW
$198.85
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Interesting and unique design allows speakers to be connected to each other for multi-directional units. Flat segments 90 degrees apart increase the installation capabilities over most typical bookshelf or outdoor units. Sound output remains very clear in a variety of settings and volume levels.
The Cons:High bass frequency cutoff more or less requires an additional subwoofer to produce effective bass output. During installation, connecting wires to speaker terminals is quite difficult, more so than typical box speakers. Maximum volume is somewhat less than comparably priced bookshelf speakers.
The all-weather JBL Control NOW™ AW speakers have been seamlessly engineered into a unique, arced enclosure that makes these speakers perhaps the most flexible ever developed. Individually, or in a circular or semicircular array of up to four speakers, there’s virtually no place where JBL Control NOW speakers cannot go, and there are more than a few places where only they can fit.
