Some of the more coveted components include a shielded multi-stage MOSFET RF with fine-tuning in .0125 MHz steps for avoiding pirate radio stations; a crystal-controlled, synthesized phase lock loop with an IF counter for VCO tuning; and a two-stage loop filter for PLL output. The result is clear radio reception with minimal distortion, no impedance, and superior channel separation. Obviously the DAB performs the best, though the FM and AM functionalities have been hailed as above par as well. Nevertheless, critics are adamant in their belief that there are better-quality tuners available in this price-range.
