Low budget directors who want to shoot in 24 frame do not necessarily have to shoot in film. If they have already shot in film or want to integrate stock film footage into their project, shooting video and outputting 24 frame data to the editing computer makes resolving different frame rates (removing frames from video to match film frame rates) one less step in the process. The AG-DVX100 addresses 3 production shooting scenarios. Shoot in 60i/ 30 frame 2 fields per frame NTSC video for standard definition television, 30P/ 30 frame progressive scan for acquisition for DVD or web, or 24P/ 24 frame progressive for matching film frame rates.
