Philips DSR 660

The Philips DSR 660 is a discontinued DirecTV standard-definition satellite receiver. The unit features basic connectivity and functionality by today's standards, with S-video and composite outputs, but no optical digital audio output for Dolby Digital surround sound.

The receiver supports a second television connected via RF, theoretically enabling multi-room viewing. The program guide builds on previous iterations, adding SmartSurf, which highlights shows matching a selected theme. A favorite channels function adds further customizability. Parental controls are available to block out inappropriate content and limit pay-per-view spending.
