It adds minor features, mainly two USB ports, to its predecessor, the DSR 7000. The DVR stores up to 35 hours of recordings and lets the user pause and rewind live TV, and play back video in slow-motion or instant-replay. Season Pass enables automatic recording of every episode of a show. Dual tuners let the 704 record one show while another plays live. The program guide displays listings 14 days in advance and includes multiple options to customize channel listings.
