Sony Dash
$149.95
Released May, 2011
The Pros:More affordable than the original model ($130 vs $200). Built-in WiFi connectivity. Available in orange, brown, and blue with battery and black without.
The Cons:Poor input experience - not a good machine to access the Internet like you might on a tablet or computer. Black version isn't available with a battery.
The Sony Dash is a portable widget station which offers a couple of notable improvements over the previous year's model. The most significant improvement is the addition of a battery, allowing the Dash 2011 to be taken out and about, unlike the Dash 2010.

The 2nd generation Dash also comes in a few extra colours--orange, brown and blue--rather than just black. Otherwise, the Dash still provides the same functionality as its predecessor, including 7" touchscreen display, integrated wireless and access to over 1,000 free Chumby Industries apps.
The Dash's battery allows it to be used anywhere wireless internet is available while the ability to remove the battery allows users to purchase an extra battery for extended periods of use. Its 7" touchscreen display and integrated speakers allow the Dash to be used as a portable multimedia player, especially when used in conjunction with its many available radio and video stremaing services (including SHOUTcast radio and Netflix). Meanwhile, the Dash can be used to access your email and social networking sites while offering alarm clock functionality.
