A high-quality quad capsule spatial array stereo microphone is included for 360-degree sound capture, capable of providing both stereo and 5.1-channel surround sound via four 45-degree capsules. A number of pre-configured settings are available for a wide variety of shooting applications, including six different "Style Settings" that self-adjust contrast, saturation and sharpness based on the user's surroundings. Still imagery can be captured at 16.1 megapixels, with RAW support offering maximum quality up to 6 frames-per-second for continuous-burst photography. Content can be played back and adjusted via the Handycam's 3-inch "Xtra Fine" touchscreen LCD display, featuring TruBlack technology to promote higher contrast and brightness levels. Recorded material can also be directly outputted to an HD television via HDMI for immediate playback and monitor referencing.
